Sample delivery

The Oxford Genomics Centre has relocated to the New Biochemistry building, Central Oxford

Sample delivery should be arranged to the following address:

Department of Biochemistry,
Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin Building
University of Oxford,
South Parks Rd,
Oxford
OX1 3QU

Sample delivery should not be arranged without a confirmed project number. Your project manager will assign a project number after your sample submission details have been checked and used to update OGC LIMS. Your project number ensures appropriate sample handling and tracking and must accompany your submission.

If you are located in the Old Road Campus area you can choose to directly hand your samples to Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics (WHG) Stores. This includes all WHG researchers. A daily courier service has been arranged between WHG Stores and Biochemistry. Samples should be packaged with dry ice. Please attach this label to your package with your name and project number(s) clearly written in the indicated fields. Pre-printed self-adhesive copies of this label can also be found in a marked box in the foyer to WHG Reception. Please ensure all packages are handed to WHG Stores before 12pm, Monday to Friday.

If you are located in the city centre science area, would like to personally deliver your samples or have access to the Biochemistry building please package appropriately and hand your samples to Biochemistry Stores. If accessing Stores from outside of Biochemistry please use the goods in entrance to the south of the buiding. Please attach this label to your package with your name and project number(s) clearly written in the indicated fields. Please ensure your package is handed to Biochemistry Stores before 1pm, Monday to Friday.
